MySpace, an older audience than expected

MySpace, the haunt of teen angst and young surfers has changed according to a report from ComScore. The latest figures show that 51.6% of U.S. based visitors to MySpace were aged 35 or older, a year ago that figure was nearer 39%, so it’s a significant increase.

This is great news as it means MySpace is becoming more mainstream and broadening it’s reach, good news for advertisers and potential partners.

It would be interesting to see the figures for global users, as it certainly seems that the UK visitors are still in the younger age groups!
