Microsoft acquiring aQuantive!

Massive deals going on everywhere in the online advertising world. Networks are being snapped up like hot cakes!

The latest deal involves Microsoft acquiring advertising network aQuantive for $6bn! aQuantive is the parent company to Avenue A, Razorfish, Atlas and DrivePM. The $6bn price tag is over double the closing share value for aQuantive from yesterday.

This is a massive deal and comes hot on the heels of Google buying Doubleclick, Yahoo buying RightMedia and WPP buying 24/7 RealMedia yesterday.

Consolidation is most definitely afoot!
