Google invests in genetics

May 23, 2007

Not content with owning the web, Google has now invested in a genetics/biotech frm called 23andme.

The $3.9m (£1.97m) investment is not so surprising when you learn that 23andme was set up by Anne Wojcicki who married Google co-founder Sergey Brin earlier this month!

The company intends to do DNA tests to help people learn about their genetic health. Perhaps this could be thrown into the personalisation mix that Google is aiming to achieve?
