How to unearth data about your network on Facebook

June 27, 2007

Really interesting and well thought out post here about the fact that you can uncover fairly personal data about people within your Facebook network even if their profile isn’t visible to you.

Personally this doesn’t worry me at all, but as I posted previously, social networks etc can be used by prospective employers etc so some people maybe should be a little more careful about what they put on their profiles (or at least make them secure).

It is possible that Facebook could be violating European data protection rules although I very much doubt that anything would come of an investigation.
