Flight times in Google results

Yet another innovative move from Google. Now if you search for an airline with a flight number you can get the current status of the flight from Flightstats.com.

Really nice bit of functionality and makes the need to leave the search results lower. This is a trend I expect to see continue with Google as they try to encourage people to stay on their properties more and that way get more ad views/clicks.

There is also the potential to make use of this for travel companies with clever developers and knowledge of Google API’s…
